Navy Command Headquarters claimed today (07/06) that Apple Daily had officially given an official statement and apologize to Commander and readers for misusing the title and the content regarding the news reported by Apple Daily regarding ““a Lieutenant Commander committed sexual assault to his girlfriend in the Navy” on July 2, 2018.
The Ministry also expressed the affirmation and satisfaction to Apple Daily’s attitude of being responsible for admitting the mistake. As a crucial social instrument to supervise the government and reflect the opinions of the public, the media shall be just and objective in reporting and shall also adhere to the ethics of journalism profession. Meanwhile, we expect the news media will have a common understanding and work together to improve the society with good values.
